My paintings are colorful abstract oil paintings and nature and wildlife watercolors. Two very different types of art. I enjoy painting both styles. The abstracts keep my work loose while the watercolors have a painterly illustration style.
I studied at The American Academy of Art in Chicago, was a graphic designer for many years. I am working on a collection of abstract and semi-abstract oil paintings.
I taught a Kids and College painting class at the local Community College and will be teaching an abstract acrylic and nature watercolor class to adults at the Park District this summer. In the fall I will teach an adult abstract painting class at the Community College.
My paintings have been in juried art shows at The American Academy of Art and McHenry County College and Art on the Fox. One graphic design won The Caroline Witt Memorial Scholarship at McHenry County College.
